Signing Off

Well, this is it... your blue friend is signing off — ready, but fully unprepared, for a yearly month of unrelenting torture and jumping through hoops too small to accommodate the size of his butt when his boss tells him to. Where's my Tylenol?

I don't relish the thought of having to work 60 hours a week again. It's called summer school. You may have heard of it, then blocked the idea of signing up for Blue's boot camp and booked a ticket to Bora instead. But that's just the way it is.

So this is goodbye for now. I will be rebooted.

  2. Sixty hours a week? What torture! Brave soul. As Danny Glover once said, I'm way too old this shit.
    Good luck!

  3. Noooooooo! Who will now keep Earth safe from the alien invaders??? Or are the aliens in your classroom? Or behind your desk? Or under it? Or in the closet you were building as their hiding place?
Hope your boss gets a bad case of diarrhoea for making you slave and toil so much!

  5. 60 hours a week? pfffft to that. Rather build a closet where I'm at. You need to off your boss in a nice way, then be the boss at your bay. Declare you only have to work 20 hours a week and the rest of the time play hide with no seek.

    1. So I won't be number one for a long time, Pat. Twenty hours a week... I wish.

    2. No number one as Hank and suza have fun. Twenty hours a week is nice, but low pay, so comes with a price.

    8. Boppity Blue had to stop and poo,
but before he could a kangaroo stole his shoe.
Boppity Blue ran after the kangaroo
forgetting about his need to poo.
The kangaroo really wanted to chew his shoe.
Boppity Blue knew that would not do.

Will Boppity Blue get his shoe from the shoe stealing kangaroo? Will he finally get his poo? Find out by following Boppity Blue as he goes after the shoe stealing kangaroo.

How about that... And you used my two favorite words too.
      You sure know Blue.

  10. 60 hour work weeks suck. My husband pulls them all the time. Was even working on our vacation last week. I think you should book that trip to Bora Bora when your work load slims. You deserve it! Just leave the damn laptop and cell at home so you can actually relax instead of fielding work calls. We will miss you, Blue. Take it easy when you can :)

  16. Howdy Blue,

It figures it took me four days to get here. Either I'm running way behind or my internet connection is very slow. Actually, I'm running way behind and my behind has told me this....

Sixty hours a week of pure fun n'stuff, perhaps. Or perhaps not. See you when you get back. Yes, that will be me staring at my computer screen in great anticipation of your return, my kind friend.

I shall not Bora Bora you with any more of my ramblings....

    Take care,

    Gary :)

but it does generate extra funds for fun...

We have our back-to-school meetings in two weeks... I'm not sure how I feel about that... I suppose I will find out...

  24. Blue Grumpster... I found your blog via Pat Hatt, and you are adorable. Just want to say hi. Please don't work ALL the time. Get out and hug some trees and enjoy nature... unless your 60-hour work week is as a lumberjack, forest ranger, gardener, or such, in which case -- enjoy the great indoors.

I was just telling myself, Blue, adorable Blue, life's too short to be working 6- hours a week.

Don't forget to have some fun...life is a bore with just work, work and more work...before you know it time is gone. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say towards the end I wish I had worked more. Just sayin' enjoy the sweet moments if you can...now, where are our tickets to Bora? I want to stay in one of those huts out on the ocean...hey, I can dream can't I?
