Eat This, Ruin Johnson

I've not been feeling too great these past couple of weeks, but this first episode of a brand new fan-made Star Wars series has sure made my Christmas Eve ─ Christmas and Boxing Day included.

Let me ask you this: how can it be that a fan with relatively few financial resources has made a 16-minute episode that's more captivating and true to the original characters in the universe George Lucas created than that garbage piece of pixel porn called The Last Jedi that so-called director and fan hater Ruin Johnsonless unleased onto the world just over a year ago? I'll tell you why: sheer dedication.

Click on this still from VADER EPISODE 1: SHARDS OF THE PAST if you're interested.

May the force be with you and merry Christmas to you all.

Blue

Less of a bore than that last one
At least 7, for all its remake crap, was fun
8 was just so long and boring

    1. Snoring, not fuming
      Dreaming, not assuming
Those SJWs can sit on a stick
      Or eat a fresh brick
      Just so you know
      At the kitty cat show
Germs... if only that were true
      As true as Scooby Doo

  13. This will be more of an aside to your post, Blue, but it finally occurred to me why I wasn't as offended by The Last Jedi as almost everyone else seemed to be: Although I'd seen parts of #4, 5, and 6, read the comic book adaptations of the three, and was all-too-familiar with the major plot points of #1-6, I'd never seen an entire Star Wars film until #7 hit the theaters. I didn't grow up with it. I had no emotional investment in it. So, for lack of a better way to put it, I just didn't care, not like the series' true fans did and do. I feel much better for having realized that. Before now, I felt almost left out for not having the same sense of outrage.

    1. Happy New Year, Mr. Silver Fox. Well, that certainly explains it, because I for one didn't expect you to be on the SJWs' side (smile). Disney wanted to fire Kathleen Kennedy a couple of months ago, but ironically they've been unable to find anyone willing to replace her. Can you imagine the state Star Wars is in when no one, J.J. Abrams included, wants to take over before Episode IX hits theaters? Episode VII was a sneaky reboot and VIII featured Leia flying in space like a frigging Supergirl wannabe. It was a disgrace. Then anyone who said they didn't like TLJ was dubbed a racist or misogynist by Lucasfilm et al. Makes perfect sense, right? Anyway, no need to feel left out. You don't want to be called a toxic fan, I'm sure. The way I see it, Star Wars equals episodes IV-VI, and that's about it. Now it's just a cash cow milked by suits who don't care about creativity. I bet they can't even find the word in a dictionary.

    2. Although I'd heard the term "social justice warrior," the first time I ever saw it abbreviated as SJW was on your blog, Blue. Threw me for a second. It reminded me of the singles ads. "Let's see, SWM is Single White Male, SJM is Single Jewish Male, so SJW is...?!?"

      Delete
    3. My bad. I should've known better. Heck, when I came across the abbreviation a year ago, I didn't know what they meant either. SJWs pushing their agendas just because... Hope your day has been great so far.

  17. Hi Blue, I'm still stuck on StarTrek . . . being a Type 1 civilisation and not even yet mastering our own Solar System. You Type 2 beings aka Star Wars clearly have and are just about to master and control their Galaxies. lol

I have been out of town for a while but hopefully can out in an appearance more regularly.

Hope you are feeling better and Happy New Year to you and The Mrs. . . :)

  18. There you are, the kindest man in town. I was wondering how you were doing. It's good to hear from you. Happy New Year, Eddie. I've not been doing great healthwise, but I've been in a worse place.

    1. I thought I was going to die from Flu a couple of months ago, so much so I gave my son all my banking passwords, just in case!! When I recovered I tried some on=line banking and could not access my account. I thought, "The bugger!" he has changed passwords and locked me out" . . . ROFL. No, it was just that the bank system has crashed. I knew he wouldn't do it really . . . Take care, Blue.

    2. Say... it ain't.... so! Die as in die? How did that happen, Eddie?

    3. Just the flue which I thought I was eternally imune from. Last time I had it I was at school where I made a much faster recovery. They would not take my blood donation the following fortnight . . . lol
