Give Me Some Credit

GIVE ME SOME CREDIT

Give me some credit
For being brutally honest
when time is running out
For caring where you're at
For taking in your every word and knowing
Sensing
For slipping through that barrier
A Fort Knox of the heart
And then pretending what I should
do.

Give me some credit
For tearing down your world and mine
For breaking what some think cannot be broken
For shattering a bowl of steel
A rusty plate
For loving us
For loving you
For choosing me.
